New Astronomer Assistant joins the Observatory Staff

 Greetings from Palmia Observatory

Well this week has been busy with online zoom meetings from OCA, Golden Webinars and the APS Far West Conference, more about that later, but for now we have hired a new observatory assistant.

Check out the new assistant as Resident Astronomer Peggy introduces her to the other astronomer assistants.  We saw her resume on Walmart.com and decided to take a chance with the new hire.

Unfortunately, the new assistant is not housebroken and must stay outside on one of the patios.

But she is free to pace back and forth on the patio and she lets us know if the sky is cloudy or not.

On occasion, she takes to terrorizing anyone who happened to pass by.

Well, it didn't take too long for Astronomer Assistant Ruby to take control of the situation and she barked out a command so fierce that the new assistant just decided to climb the tree for safety.

Ok, that is all the news about our new observatory assistant.  Next post we will return to comment about all of the online physics presentations.  In the meantime, enjoy your Halloween season.

Until next time, here from our burrow, stay safe, as we recover more of our freedom,

Resident Astronomer George
